Reddit lets users hide their post and comment history from their profile. This tracker watches every new post in a set of subreddits and checks, a few minutes later, whether that post appears on its author's own profile. If the post is live but the profile shows nothing, the account hides its history. Because the check starts from a post we know exists, a genuinely empty account (which still shows that one post) is never confused with a hidden one.
